Watersports Taster Session at Stithians

Are you a student in Year 10 or 11 and interested in watersports? Then come along to our Watersports Taster Session at Stithians Lake Watersports Centre on Saturday 14 June 2025, 10am-12pm.

Please note – this event is for people aged between 14 and 19.

The session will be led by Ellie Macmeikan, Study Programme Manager for Watersports, and is a great opportunity to find out more about studying Watersports at Falmouth Marine School, meet other people who will be on the courses next year and get out on the water to take part in paddle boarding and kayaking (weather dependant).

Steve Taylor, Head of Campus, will also be on site to answer any questions you or your parents may have about student finance, study support, accommodation and work experience.

You will need to bring:

• Swimwear
• Footwear suitable for water-based activities (wetsuit boots/ old trainers)
• Towel
• Wetsuit if you have one (not essential as you can borrow one)

If you are under 18 you will also need to return a completed consent form to faladmin@falmouthmarineshool.ac.uk or bring it with you on the day.

Please meet at Stithians Lake Watersports Centre, Redruth TR16 6NW at 9:45am.

Parents/ carers are welcome to stay at the lake during the Taster Session and there is a café that serves great coffee, cakes and lunches.
