Course information

To build confidence, meet likeminded people and to be introduced to woodworking, the tools and techniques. You will learn skills in an understanding environment without judgement. Whether to have a go or be inspired to start a new career venture.

You will have opportunity to use hand and power tools and perhaps basic machinery, to be able to build confidence in practical skills and work independently in a safe and effective manner. You will measure, cut and assemble joinery, while learning about the materials and processes.

Work experience can be suggested by tutor and college networks.

Follow on courses include; Boatbuilding, Joinery, Furniture Making, Carpentry, Construction and others.
