The course is predominantly a practical based programme. Focusing on giving learners the ability to service and maintain a wide variety of marine in board and outboard engines, alongside the propulsion systems commonly found in most marine vessels.
The workshop at Falmouth marine school is one of the largest marine specific training areas in the U.K, alongside a wide variety of specialist tools to perform maintenance and diagnostic processes on our industry endorsed equipment.
At level two, the course is focused around servicing and maintaining of marine mechanical systems, components and also covers engineering environmental awareness, techniques and principles. Successful completion of this programme will allow learners to progress onto the marine based engineering level three course.

• Three or more GCSEs, including Maths and/or English at Grade 4 and the others at Grade 3 or above, or successful completion of a relevant L1 qualification.

• Successful completion of previous course and Maths and/or English GCSE at Grade 4 or above and the other at Grade 3.
